HCAS observes World Social Work Day

Hindustan College of Arts & Scienc,e Padur observed “World Social Work Day” today as the Department of Social Work HCAS conducted a meeting in its premise in Newton Hall in Padur. The Principal Dr. S. Thirumagan, Dean of Humanities and Department of Social Work HOD, Dr. Sakthi Prabha, Mrs. Stella Jacquline Mathew, Managing Trustee Golden Butterflies Children's Palliative Care Foundation, Chennai participated.

Mrs. Mathew spoke on need for social workers and their contribution to society. She also said social workers are selfless and care about community more.

Dr. Thirumagan the principal spoke on significance of the day and the importance of social work courses in general and HCAS in particular.

Dr. Sakthi Prabha in her address while thanking all said the contribution of social work department of this college and courses as well as work of her division in general.

Vote of thanks was proposed to thank all who made this occasion a great success.
